FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your store located?

Bats in the Belfry Crafts is a one woman ran shop that operates out of my home in Massachusetts. I offer my products online and conduct most of my retail business in Salem, MA. Please visit our Happenings page to stay up to date with our show schedule and to learn what local businesses we are partnered with.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Our items are made to order and will take 2-3 weeks to produce depending on our workload and the time of year. This is the estimated time before shipping. For example, if you select 3-day Mail, your item will ship AFTER the necessary production time. (Please note September-December is our busy season.)

I do my best to meet these shipping estimates, but cannot guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose. Please contact us with any shipping questions.

What are your shipping policies?

I ship via USPS internationally. Rates are calculated by package weight and dimensions. All packages come with tracking numbers.

International orders may experience delays at customs. While I will do my best to ship your order to you as timely as possible, I am not responsible for delays due to customs. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.

What are your return policies?

I want you to be happy with your order. Therefore, I gladly accept returns.

Conditions of return:
Contact me within: 7 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 14 days of delivery
If your item arrives defective, I request that the buyer send me a photo immediately.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Will my plush item look exactly like it does in the picture on your site?

All of our items, especially our plush, are 100% handmade. Due to the nature of handmade items, some slight variations may occur.

That being said, we have developed certain practices for recreating hundreds of the same plush (such as patterns, die cutting and quality standards) as identically as possible.

Please note that shipping may also effect the initial appearance of a plush upon arrival. If for instance your Black Phillip arrives with his fur a bit messy or his horns a little crooked, a quick brushing or tug of the horns to straighten them out will have him looking delicious again!

Of course if you have any concerns about the condition your order arrives in, please contact us immediately.

Where can I buy your items in person?

Bats in the Belfry Crafts participates in many markets, shows and craft fairs throughout New England. Please visit our Happenings page to find out where you can visit us next!

We are proud to mention that our products are also currently for sale at Die With Your Boots On and Coon’s Cards and Gifts in Salem, MA!

Do you produce everything yourself?

All of my items are 100% made in-house. We do not use suppliers to manufacture our goods.

From printing and cutting our own stickers to sewing every stitch by hand, I do it all with the help of some very patient friends and family.

Do you use a sewing machine?

I stitch by hand and am very proud to say that I use my machine very little.
